This Isn’t a Comeback: Rebuilding Your Business With Clarity, Faith & Purpose

It’s been a while since I’ve shown up here.

If you’ve been part of this community for even a season, you probably noticed the quiet.

I stepped away from content, from the podcast, from the Sunday emails, from most of the noise that comes with running a business online. Life asked something of me that had nothing to do with content calendars or launch strategy, and I chose to answer it.

I’m not going to pretend that season didn’t change me.

It did.

I walked through something hard and real, the kind of hard that reorders what actually matters and strips away what doesn’t. And when something like that happens, you don’t just pick back up where you left off. You have to decide what you’re actually building, and why. You ask hard questions like “what is the point of it all?

I’m going to be honest, it’s hard to come back. It’s hard to garner strength to pull it together to proceed. Thank God for His love and comfort.

So I don’t want to call this a comeback.

A comeback implies I’m trying to get back to where I was.

I’m not.

It feels more like a revolution. Writing that feels very dramatic, but that’s the only term that keeps popping up. It means a full turn toward something more honest, more sustainable, and more aligned with what I actually believe: that clarity comes before strategy, that systems support the calling instead of replacing it, and that growth was never supposed to cost you your peace.

That’s the whole reason this brand exists.

My goal and my passion have always been to help overwhelmed, faith-driven entrepreneurs move from chaos to clarity by building simple systems and strategies that allow their businesses to grow without burning them out.

But this season required me to live that message out for myself before I could continue teaching it to others.

One verse I kept returning to was Isaiah 43:19:

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”

Not a return to the old. A new thing.

And I’m learning that rebuilding doesn’t mean simply putting everything back the way it was. It means intentionally creating something stronger, healthier, and more aligned with where God is leading.

If you’re in a season where you’re holding everything together with little support, here’s what I’m learning about rebuilding on purpose instead of simply going through the motions again.

Boundaries before output. I used to measure a good week by how much I produced. Now I measure it by whether the pace was sustainable. If a system asks you to burn out to keep it running, it’s not a system. It’s a slow leak.

Simple over impressive. The businesses and lives that actually last are built on a handful of things done consistently, not a hundred things done occasionally.

Clarity over complexity, every time.

Faith as the foundation, not the finishing touch. My faith isn’t a content category I post about sometimes. It’s the thing that’s been holding the whole structure up while everything else felt shaky.

What’s Coming Back

The Sunday CEO email is coming back — with the same honest voice, the same blend of story, strategy, and faith. No extra polish just to make things look perfectly put together.

It may be a little sporadic at first as I find my rhythm again, but we’ll find our stride.

The podcast is coming back too.

And this blog will keep doing what it’s always done, giving you real, usable tools for building a business that doesn’t require you to burn out to grow it.

Later this summer I’ll be opening up the ClickUp Quick Win Course again, the simplest system I know for getting your business out of your head and into something you can actually run. More on that soon.

For now, this season is about reconnecting, not selling. If you’ve been quiet too, if you’ve been in your own season of holding it together without much support, I want you to know you’re not behind. You’re not late. You’re just getting a fresh start at the right time. If you want to walk through this next season with me, the easiest way is the Sunday CEO email. (sign up here) It’s where I show up first, before anywhere else.

I’m glad to be back. Not the old version. A better, clearer one.
